NEW YORK – June 16, 2015 – Marketing EDGE, a nonprofit education organization, today announced that Charles Hofacker, Ph.D., Carl DeSantis Professor of Business Administration and Professor of Marketing at Florida State University, will receive this year’s Robert B. Clarke Outstanding Educator Award, recognizing an academician’s overall achievement in marketing education. The honor will be presented among his peers at the Marketing EDGE 2015 Marketing Research Summit ( Awards Luncheon on Sunday, October 4, at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

Dr. Hofacker also is the incoming director of the Florida State University College of Business’s Marketing Ph.D. program. He has served as a visiting professor at the Universitá Bocconi, Milan, Italy, and early in his career as a visiting assistant professor at the Anderson Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Before teaching, he managed UCLA’s Social Science Computing facility. His research has been published in leading academic journals in the marketing field, among them the aforementioned Journal of Interactive Marketing.
In addition to the award presentation during the Marketing EDGE Research Summit, Dr. Hofacker will be introduced that evening as an honoree at Marketing EDGE’s Annual Awards Dinner on Sunday, October 4, also in Boston, MA, at the Boston Park Plaza ( The Annual Awards Dinner, also held in conjunction with DMA’s &THEN Conference, is where marketing professionals gather, with the participation of students, young professionals and educators, to support Marketing EDGE in its mission to Educate, Develop, Grow and Employ college students in the field of marketing. He will also serve a one-year term as an academic member of the Marketing EDGE Board of Trustees.

The Robert B. Clarke Outstanding Educator Award, recognizes an academician’s overall achievement in marketing education. It is based on an educator’s record of teaching, writing, research, and speaking.
