Premier EDGE Award honorees include:
Lester Wunderman, MediaMath, Wharton's Customer Analytics Initiative
and Marketing 'Rising Stars'

NEW YORK – "Leading from the EDGE" is the common quality found among honorees to be recognized in a wholly new awards and fundraising event hosted by Marketing EDGE, a nonprofit education organization.

The EDGE Awards
The event on Wednesday, June 8, in New York City will honor, in four award categories, several marketing leaders including: “The Pioneer of Today’s Data-Driven Marketing” and Wunderman Worldwide Founder Lester Wunderman, who will be bestowed the “Lifetime Achievement Award”; MediaMath, a “Corporate Award” for its industry leadership in forging new paths in marketing and education; Wharton Customer Analytics Initiative (WCAI), an “Education Award” to honor an educational institution for innovations in blending a new level of marketing education and research; and “Rising Star” honorees, to be announced in March, to honor marketing professionals 40 years and younger who are “disrupting” businesses across the marketing sector while giving back.  Collectively, these honors will constitute The EDGE Awards.
The event will take place at Guastavino’s (409 E. 59th Street) in New York from 6-10 p.m.  Registration is now open here.  It will be the organization’s one national fundraising event annually – in addition to regional events planned throughout 2016 and beyond.
“During this momentous 50th year of Marketing EDGE, we thought it fitting to mark the milestone occasion with a new, celebratory event to recognize our industry’s best while benefiting our industry’s future. The EDGE Awards will bring students, academics and practitioners together to showcase those who have clearly achieved excellence at our industry’s edge – those who are bringing marketing’s future to reality today,” said Terri L. Bartlett, Marketing EDGE president.
“What better way to illustrate this industry’s rich history juxtaposed with its thrilling future:  this year’s honorees – Lester Wunderman, MediaMath, Wharton’s Customer Analytics Initiative and the soon-to-be-announced 2016 Rising Stars – with proceeds from the evening to support EDGE programs that help students to be tomorrow’s true leaders in this field,” Bartlett said.

And, for those who know of young superstar marketers (age 40 and under), nominations for this year’s “Rising Stars” Awards are accepted through this Friday, February 26.  A nomination form, including criteria, is posted here.
