NEW YORK CITY RESTAURANT BLACK IRON BURGER WINS TASTERS’ CHOICE HONOR AT RECENT MARKETING EDGE EVENT

NEW YORK – Delicious, with great purpose – New York City restaurant Black Iron Burger earned the “Tasters’ Choice Award” at a June 8 event, the inaugural EDGE Awards, held at Guastavino's, to honor national leaders in marketing education and raise monies for Marketing EDGE, a national nonprofit organization solely committed toward enhancing the lives of thousands of college students and shaping the marketing industry’s future as diverse, inclusive, and highly skilled.
During the event, a dozen New York City eateries and catering firms competed head-to-head offering the more than 400 event participants tastings representing a variety of cuisines and dishes. Black Iron Burger and Chef Jaime Guardiola won top audience honors with the restaurant’s signature “Black Iron Slider,” an all-natural beef patty with double horseradish cheddar, stout caramelized grilled onions and horseradish mayonnaise.
As the winning restaurant, Black Iron Burger will receive a “Digital and Mobile Marketing Workshop,” valued at $15,000, offered by mCordis, thanks to Co-founder and Managing Partner Michael Becker, who is also a Marketing EDGE Board Trustee.

Bartlett, “As this was our first annual event, we set the bar high in all categories, beginning with the lifetime achievement award presented to the industry’s preeminent leader Lester Wunderman, education institution Wharton Customer Analytics Initiative, corporate leader MediaMath and six Rising Stars – each representing dynamic expertise among young professionals destined to influence the data-driven field of marketing.”

As the winner, we’re also excited to have our restaurant team receive mobile marketing guidance. Our customers very often are on-the-go, spontaneous and driven by both experience and ease of access – where mobile and on-demand know-how is most welcomed.”
