Call for Nominations: 2013 Ed Mayer & Corporate Leadership Awards
Nominations Deadline Is May 31; Honors to Be Presented at October 13 Dinner
New York, NY, May 8, 2013 — Marketing EDGE today announced it is welcoming nominations for its 2013 Edward N. Mayer, Jr. Education Leadership Award and the 2013 Corporate Leadership Award. The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 31, 2013.
Individual and corporate award recipients will be honored for their commitment to excellence in the field of direct/interactive marketing education, specifically highlighting service that nurtures and supports the next generation of talent in this field.
A Marketing EDGE Awards Selection Committee, consisting of leaders from the field of direct/interactive marketing, will review the nominations, paying close attention to the candidates’ activities as they relate to the award criteria. The prestigious awards will be presented at Marketing EDGE’s Annual Awards Dinner, to take place on Sunday, October 13, 2013 in conjunction with The Direct Marketing Association’s (DMA) Annual Conference in Chicago. The deadline for nomination submissions is May 31, 2013.
The winners will be announced at Marketing EDGE’s Rising Stars Awards Dinner, which will take place at Three Sixty° in New York City on June 11, 2013.
“This is the 36th consecutive year that Marketing EDGE will bestow the Ed Mayer Education Leadership Award. The 2013 award winner joins an elite group of marketers in a tradition rich in history and reverence,” said Craig Wood, head of insights integration at The Futures Company and chair of Marketing EDGE. “The Corporate Leadership Award recognizes one outstanding organization committed to furthering education in the field of direct/interactive marketing. Marketing EDGE Edward N. Mayer, Jr. Education Leadership Award
Known as the premier Marketing EDGE Award, the Edward N. Mayer, Jr. Education Leadership Award is presented annually to a select individual who, over time, demonstrates the highest level of personal commitment to helping create effective programs, concepts, teaching methods, or materials for the instruction of college students or professors; providing personal and corporate financial assistance; and executing any other contribution, which effectively assists or promotes Marketing EDGE’s mission and objectives.

Marketing EDGE Corporate Leadership Award
Marketing EDGE’s prestigious Corporate Leadership Award pays tribute to businesses that demonstrate outstanding practices to support education in the dynamic field of direct/interactive marketing. This includes championing education on all levels, both internally and externally, and consistently exhibiting a commitment to excellence industry-wide. The company being recognized will have established supportive relationships and partnerships with Marketing EDGE and DMA, including event participation and staff involvement in educational programs.
