Robert Clarke Award

The Robert B. Clarke Outstanding Educator Award honors an academic’s overall achievement in direct and interactive marketing. The award’s namesake, the late Robert B. Clarke, endowed Marketing EDGE’s Direct/Interactive Marketing Research Summit and served as CEO of Grolier. The $1,000 award recognizes an academician’s outstanding record of teaching, writing, research, and speaking.


Dissertation Proposal Award

The Shankar-Spiegel Dissertation Proposal Competition recognizes the best proposal in direct and interactive marketing. Established in 2007, the competition is named in honor of Venkatesh Shankar, Ph.D., and Edward J. Spiegel, founder of Spiegel Marketing Associates. Marketing EDGE awards up to $6,000 total to the competition’s winners and honorable mentions. These funds may be used for travel, conference attendance, data collection, and other research-related expenses.
