Could you give a brief description of your current job and responsibilities?

I currently manage social media engagements with our clients focusing on high level social strategy, best practices, social campaign development, and reputation management. I also am managing a project to build a one-of-its-kind enterprise-grade Social Media Management platform.

How has your experience in NextGen helped you in your current position?

Even four years after graduating from the NextGen program, I constantly find myself referencing many of the basic skills that I learned while at the various sponsor companies. Whether it's building powerpoint decks, managing complex client projects or applying basic Direct Marketing principles in the digital marketing campaigns, I continue to be amazed at how much I learned and retained in one short year.

What kind of connections have you made through your involvement with NextGen?

The NextGen program exposed me to an incredible community of mentors that have helped me tremendously in the last few years. In fact, I got my previous job at Publishers Clearing House and my current job with Adworthy via Marketing EDGEand NextGen contacts.

What advice would you give to someone considering participation in NextGen?

The NextGen program is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get into the marketing field with an incredible head start. After one year in NextGen, you will have gained more experience than many people 2-3 years your senior. If you're the kind of person that wants to excel and work hard towards building a successful career in the marketing field, the NextGen program is the perfect place to start.

If you could only use one word to describe your NextGen experience, what would it be?

Everlasting - NextGen is the program that keeps on giving.
