Esther Kim

Name: Esther Eunjin Kim
School: University of Pennsylvania
Major: Marketing; Legal Studies & Business Ethics

"I am privileged to have received this special opportunity to be a Next Generation Leader. I believe it is an indispensable time as I have been paired with great companies, prestigious clients, and intentional mentors."
Esther Kim, 2014-2015 Next Generation Associate
I graduated from the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Marketing and a second concentration in Legal Studies & Business Ethics. While at Penn, I was the President of our campus Chapter of 12PLUS, a nonprofit organization working directly out of two Philadelphia high schools to increase college matriculation and success. I was also heavily and happily involved in campus ministry.
Throughout college, I interned within a variety of industries, including municipal government and financial services. My favorite experience was working as a Marketing Manager for a mobile food truck company. As I had a hand in a wide range of functions - from logo design to menu ideation and testing - I discovered my passion for marketing.

Stephanie Tatum

Name: Stephanie Tatum
School: Southern Methodist University
Major: Marketing; Sociology

"The Next Generation Leaders Program piqued my interest because it provided a richer opportunity than a typical entry level position. The rotational nature of the program provided real experience and vast exposure to the industry. I gained extensive knowledge and insight from both Javelin and Publicis Hawkeye."
Stephanie Tatum, 2014-15 Next Generation Associate

I graduated from Southern Methodist Universitywith a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Although marketing and sociology are differing disciplines, through some overlapping coursework, I developed an interest in the way consumers affect the modern marketplace. This led me to pursue a career in the field of marketing.
During my time at SMU, I was involved in several campus organizations, primarily as a member of Pi Beta Phi and SMU Student Foundation. Additionally, I spent time tutoring at the SMU Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center assisting students with research projects. I also interned at Frontier Communications where I worked on digital marketing and campaign management.
I am thrilled to be a part of the Next Generation Leaders Program in Dallas, and where I had the opportunity to work with and learn from industry professionals at Javelin and Publicis Hawkeye.

Rachel Trenchard

Name: Rachel Trenchard
School: Vassar College
Major: Psychology

“The unique entry-level experience provided by the NextGen program is unparalleled. It would take me years at another job to achieve the same level of training, mentoring, and networking that is provided in just one year spent  rotating between two Marketing EDGE sponsor companies that are industry leaders."
Rachel Trenchard, 2014-15 Next Generation Associate

I graduated from Vassar College where I majored in Psychology and minored in Economics. I was drawn to these two subjects by their commonalities in the realms of social psychology and behavioral economics. It was in studying these and in conducting my own research as a research assistant and academic intern on campus that I recognized my desire to pursue a career in marketing. This passion to explore the data behind human decision-making was further driven by my recent internship with the marketing department at Peanut Butter & Co.
Outside of the classroom at Vassar, I also enjoyed holding leadership positions for the campus chapters of UNICEF and Psi Chi International Honor Society.
I am thrilled to be a part of the Next Generation Leaders program in New York and I am eager to have learned about direct marketing from industry leaders at Epsilon and Paradysz.
