Biography: Amy Sigona
|Amy Sigona, M.S. | Director of Development|
A nonprofit executive with a demonstrated track record of creating and leading programs and departments, Amy Sigona has been dedicated to developing and implementing quality nonprofit programs for more than 20 years. She has an extensive background in fundraising, community outreach and Board relations both through her professional experience and her volunteer activities.
Newly appointed to the role of Director of Development at Marketing EDGE, Amy is responsible for implementing the organization’s individual giving and event programs, including their signature EDGE Awards.
Previously, as Development Director at Opportunity Project in Millburn, NJ, she drove the expansion of the development office by implementing an annual development plan focused on increased individual and event revenue.
Before that, as Director of Special Needs Services for JCC MetroWest and Director at the Association for Help of Retarded Children, she was responsible for the implementation of new programs and services serving individuals with disabilities. Ms. Sigona currently volunteers as Chair of the Community Options Business Advisory Council for their New York City Office, and has worked tirelessly as a volunteer and a Board member for the Taproot Foundation, The Brain Injury Association of New York State and Habitat for Humanity, among others. Ms. Sigona holds an MS in Non Profit Management from SUNY College at Buffalo and a BA in Human Services from SUNY at Buffalo. She recently completed the Executive Philanthropy Certificate program at Fairleigh Dickinson University in June of 2016.
