-Google to receive Corporate Leadership Award, and Becker to receive Ed Mayer Award during Awards Dinner at DMA14 in San Diego on October 25-

NEW YORK – Marketing EDGE, the only national nonprofit of its kind solely committed to acquaint professors and college students with – and to engage and involve them in – the business of marketing, announced today recipients for its two annual education leadership awards:  Michael Becker, co-founder and managing partner North America, mCordis, is the 2014 Edward N. Mayer, Jr.  Education Leadership Award honoree; and Google is the 2014 Corporate Leadership Award designate. 
Both will be presented their awards at Marketing EDGE’s Annual Awards Dinner, which will take place in San Diego, CA, during the Direct Marketing Association’s DMA2014 Conference, on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the U.S. Grant Hotel downtown. Approximately 300 marketing professionals from leading national and global marketing organizations are expected to attend, with the proceeds from the event helping to fund career entry and talent development programs for thousands of students, and hundreds of academicians, colleges and universities.

When experts in mobile marketing are mentioned among marketing professionals, there are few individuals whose names are more readily offered than Michael Becker.  He is a true entrepreneur, evangelist and educator.  He is co-founder and managing partner North America for mCordis, a global mobile marketing educational and strategy services company, and a long-time advocate for responsible mobile marketing worldwide.
