NEW YORK – September 18, 2017 – Where marketing innovation and success meet marketing education and professional development – there lies the domain of the 2018 EDGE Awards. A call for nominations is now open for the 2018 EDGE Awards, presented by Marketing EDGE, a national marketing education nonprofit. Established as Marketing EDGE’s signature national fundraising event, the EDGE Awards, to be presented in June 2018 in New York City, is an exclusive marketing industry gathering paying tribute to leaders – and known legends – in the marketing field.
“The EDGE Awards showcase the enterprising and innovative qualities that are fueling business growth in the data-driven and digital marketing field – and attracting students to choose marketing for careers,” said Gretchen Littlefield, chair, Marketing EDGE; president, data solutions, Infogroup; and chair of this year’s EDGE Awards Selection Committee. “The honorees serve as an example to other practitioners. There are many facets of leadership in marketing education and business – and we seek to illuminate the diversity of success in marketing through these awards.”
Individuals and organizations may be nominated in five distinct categories:
  • Lifetime Achievement Award pays tribute to the countless lives, campaigns and businesses the honoree has influenced, thus opening doors for generations of men and women in their pursuit of career excellence and performance through intelligent, evocative, creative and accountable marketing. Selection also is based upon an individual’s personal support over time for marketing education programs.
  • Corporate Heritage Award honors and recognizes corporations that have pioneered, inspired, and sustained excellence and leadership in the marketing field. Each honoree is a recognized trailblazer in the marketing industry that has, during its history, recruited, trained and inspired generations of business leaders, touching every area of the industry today.
  • Corporate Disruptor Award pays tribute to a leading corporation that is paving a new frontier in marketing while demonstrating a corporate and industry-wide commitment to support the future of the field through education, mentorship and service.
  • Education Award honors an institution for creating a new approach to marketing education that bridges the gap between academic theory and the practical knowledge and skills required in the workplace.
  • Financial Innovator Award honors and recognizes an individual who brings a combination of capital markets expertise and strategic vision and oversight to significantly expand and impact businesses in the marketing industry. The honoree is renowned as a leader in strategic investments in the marketing industry and has a demonstrated commitment to supporting the future of the field through education, mentorship and service.

Now in its third year, Marketing EDGE’s only live annual fundraising event, the EDGE Awards, pays tribute to the vibrancy and evolution that is occurring in today’s dynamic marketing field. These five awards will be presented alongside the renowned “Rising Stars Awards,” identifying younger marketing practitioners who are emerging as next-generation data and digital marketing leaders.
