-Inaugural fund is the first global scholarship in the field of marketing-

NEW YORK – Marketing EDGE, a nonprofit marketing education organization, announces the formation of the Lester Wunderman Scholarship Fund. This will be the first global fund dedicated to supporting diverse students pursuing the study of data-driven marketing. The scholarship will be announced at an event honoring Mr. Wunderman. Mr. Wunderman, founder & chairman emeritus of the leading global digital agency, Wunderman, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from Marketing EDGE at its inaugural EDGE Awards celebration on June 8 in New York City.

“Mr. Wunderman has created perhaps the greatest living legacy in integrated marketing and advertising,” said Terri L. Bartlett, president of Marketing EDGE. “How fitting that a leader who has built a global data-driven marketing agency is the inspiration behind a scholarship that is open to students from diverse backgrounds.”

Mark Read, global CEO of Wunderman, added, “Lester is a true visionary and it’s our goal today at Wunderman to build on his lifelong commitment to innovation and creativity. With this scholarship, we are committed to inspiring and supporting the talent that will continue to drive our industry forward.”
“My father has always been a champion of new ideas. We are all honored to support a fund that will help young people from around the world in their desire to innovate in this exciting field where he made such a significant impact,” said Marc Wunderman.
Many of today’s global leaders in advertising and marketing have been influenced deeply by Mr. Wunderman. To ensure that his impact and legacy continues for generations, this endowed Fund has been established to benefit – in perpetuity – students from across the globe with the goal to support and develop young talent for the future. Additional details of the Scholarship Fund – and a call for applications – will be announced later in 2016. The Lester Wunderman Scholarship Fund is established with initial contributions from the Wunderman family and Wunderman. Potential contributors may find more information, including contact details at
