Amina Dilawari

Director, Marketing Strategy & Planning
ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

As Director of Marketing Strategy & Planning for ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Amina Dilawari oversees the development of integrated multichannel marketing strategies that support key enterprise fundraising and awareness initiatives.

One of her recent achievements was her integral role in creating a major campaign for St. Jude called “Hey Jude,” which leveraged both the hospital brand and the rights to the well-known Beatles song to raise more than $500,000 for the organization’s life-saving work. She also mentors other marketing team members.

As a native Memphian, Amina has always believed in giving back to the community to attract talent and engage citizens, especially the city’s youth. In 2008, Amina was invited to join the founding board of a proposed charter school for middle school students, Veritas College Preparatory Academy, and to serve as its marketing chair. As a member of the founding board, Amina helped to develop branding for the school as well as its value proposition, including all identity, creative and digital assets.

In her spare time, Amina uses her marketing skills to provide support to other community nonprofits among them Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis, Memphis Music Foundation, and ArtsMemphis.

Together with her family, she is also assisting the University of Tennessee with the Dr. Raza A. Dilawari endowed professorship for surgical oncology, with an initial focus on pancreatic cancer research.

Amina holds a master’s degree in Journalism from Memphis University, and a bachelor’s degree in Literature form American University.
